Paris-Saint Germain midfielder Julian Draxler says he isn’t interested in a return to Germany despite seeing his minutes dwindle this season.
The arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in the summer have seen Draxler fall down the pecking order, but the Germany international insists he wants to stay and fight for his place in the French capital.
“I am not contemplating about leaving the club in winter or summer,” he told a press conference.
“I am in mid-season with PSG now and I am focused on the high goals we have.
“It is not relevant at the moment to think about my future. But, of course, the Bundesliga is always interesting.”
Neymar’s transfer from Barcelona in particular has drawn plenty of interest in media circles, with his relationship with Edinson Cavani drawing close attention.
However, Draxler hinted there was no one “jealous” of the “privileges” Neymar is enjoying.
“It is normal many things are written about a superstar like Neymar, also lots of bulls***,” he said.
“I know him as a very polite and nice guy who knows how important he is for the team.
“For a player like him it is okay to demand privileges. No one at PSG is jealous or angry with him. We are happy that he is with us.”
