Bayer Leverkusen have announced the arrival of Leon Bailey from Belgian outfit Genk, on a five-year deal, with the signing confirmed on the club’s website.
Bailey decided to join Leverkusen despite rumoured interest from the likes of Premier League giants Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
It is reported that the German club have signed the Jamaican international for a fee of €15 million.
The promising forward will be hoping to have an immediate impact for Leverkusen as he is eligible to feature in the Champions League.
It was also confirmed he will wear the number nine jersey for Roger Schmidt’s side.

Bailey made 58 appearances for Genk across all competitions, scoring eight goals. He has been lauded as a player for the future, and caught the eye of top clubs with his impressive Europa League performances.
Leverkusen are renowned for signing and developing huge talent and this will allow Bailey reach the his potential before making the next step to a top European club.
