Bailey Wright helped Bristol City to a clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Bolton Wanderers. The skipper started and played 90 minutes.

There was still no Mile Jedinak for Aston Villa, whose time is up to make a case for Socceroos selection for matches against Syria.

Villa won the game against Burton Albion 4-0.

Jackson Irvine made another start in the Hull City midfield, but fortunes were not as good for the team who went down to Preston North End 2-1 at home.

James Meredith also completed 90 minutes as Millwall continued their climb up the Championship table. The South Londoners defeated Reading 2-1.

A tier below in League One, Ryan Williams‘ consistent run of form continued with another 90 minutes for Rotherham United.

However, the Millers lost their match against Blackburn Rovers 2-0.

Bradden Inman was handed another start for Rochdale, who fought out a goalless stalemate away to Blackpool.

Cameron Burgess was an unused substitue for Scunthorpe United in their 0-0 draw against Gillingham.

Harry Kewell‘s Crawley Town continued to dwindle just above the relegation zone, beaten 2-1 at home by Newport County.
