Tom Rogic picked up his ninth trophy as a Celtic player overnight as the Hoops defeated Aberdeen 1-0 in the Scottish League Cup final at Hampden.

Rogic played 64 minutes to help the Hoops secure their first trophy of the season, with Ryan Christie scoring the winner on the stroke of half time.

Elsewhere in Scotland, in the Premiership, Oliver Bozanic was back in Hearts’ starting XI and played a full 90 minutes against Rangers.

However, the Edinburgh side lost the game 2-1. Ben Garuccio was left out of the matchday squad entirely.

In the Championship, James Meredith played a full game for Millwall in their 1-1 draw against Bristol City.

Bailey Wright is still to return to the matchday squad following a lengthy spell with injury.

In the FA Cup, Cameron Burgess played 90 minutes for Scunthorpe United but they suffered a 2-1 loss against Shrewsbury Town.

Bradden Inman watched on from the bench as his Rochdale side lost 1-0 against Portsmouth.

PSV Eindhoven dropped their first points of the Eredivisie season and suffered their first loss of the season against Feyenoord, 2-1.

Both Trent Sainsbury and Aziz Behich were unused substitutes.

Ajdin Hrustic found himself back in FC Groningen’s starting XI and played 86 minutes in their 5-2 win over bottom-placed NAC Breda.

It was a case of another game, another goal for Awer Mabil, who struck his fifth goal of the season in FC Midtjylland’s 2-1 win over Randers.

Mabil saw out 80 minutes of the match.

Danny Vukovic kept a clean sheet for Racing Genk, who maintained their four-point gap at the top of the Belgian league table.

Their title hopefuls defeated fourth-placed Anderlecht 1-0 away from home.

Milos Degenek played 90 more minutes for Red Star Belgrade, who continued their winning run with a 2-0 defeat of Vozdovac.

Nikita Rukavytsya played a full 90 minutes for Maccabi Haifa, who lost 3-1 against Hapoel Haifa.

In Asia, Aleksandar Jovanovic found the net in Jeju United’s 2-0 win over Suwon Bluewings and played a full game.

Connor Chapman was withdrawn after 63 minutes in Pohang Steelers’ 3-1 loss against Ulsan Hyundai.

Matt Jurman played a full 90 minutes for Al Ittihad in their 2-2 draw against Al Hazem.
