Shanghai SIPG forward Hulk says he still maintains hope of one day of fulfilling his dream and playing in the Premier League.
Throughout his career, the 30-year-old has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in England but opted for a move to China last year in a deal reported to be worth €20 million a year.
And while he still has time to run on his contract in Asia, Hulk has not ruled out ending his stay in Shanghai to try his luck in England’s top-flight.
“I’ve always said that I’m a big fan of English football. I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League, the Brazilian attacker said.
“It’s competitive with packed stadiums, no matter who’s playing.
“Since I arrived in Europe at FC Porto, there was always speculation about myself going to England but it never happened.
“My life took other directions away from English football.
“I have three more years on my contract, but I might leave before.
“I would be very happy because of my admiration for English football.”
Hulk has made a strong start to the Chine Super League’s 2017-18 season with four goals and assists in his first nine appearances, alongside former Chelsea star Oscar.
