N’Golo Kante has reaffirmed his commitment to Chelsea amid speculation he is a key target of Paris Saint-Germain.
The Frenchman quickly gained a reputation as one of the Premier League’s best holding-midfielders, claiming to consecutive top flight crowns with Leicester City and Chelsea, respectively.
These exploits have reportedly seen Kante land of the radar of Ligue 1 giants PSG, who see him as integral to their hopes of winning a future Champions League trophy.
However, while Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are five points outside of qualification for the competition themselves, Kante says his future aspirations still lie at Stamford Bridge and remains confident the Blues can claim some silverware in 2017-18.
“I am at home. It is my club, I am a Chelsea player,” he told the Evening Standard.
“This is my second year at Chelsea. After what happened last season, it was a very good one for us because we got to celebrate winning the title.
“In the second season, I have got to play in the Champions League and we are going again to finish in the top four.
“We will fight until the end to finish in the top four and to get in a Champions League position.
“We also have the FA Cup to play for – it is a good competition. Last season we failed in the final. It is the only trophy we can win this season, so we have to give everything to get to the final and win it.”
