Belgium’s best chance of the first half came to Toby Alderweireld, who swiveled on his left foot only to be denied by a diving save from Tottenham Hotspur teammate Hugo Lloris.
At the other end, Benjamin Pavard came close to once again finding his name on the scoresheet only to be denied by Thibaut Courtois outstretched foot.
French forward Olivier Giroud’s struggles considered in front of goal, as the Chelsea man failed to put several big chances on target, eventually being substituted for Steven N’Zonzi.
Marouane Fellaini had the best chances for the Red Devils in the second half with his powerful header from substitute Dries Mertens’ cross going just wide of the post.
The final is set to kick off at 1am on Monday morning AEST, where the French will take on either Croatia or England.
Victory in the final would see the French triumph for the first time since 1998, as they look to atone for their loss in the 2016 Euros final.
