Ivan Franjic announces he has ended South Korean spell

Former Melbourne City full-back Ivan Franjic has taken to social media to advise he has mutually ended his contract with Daegu FC.

City released Franjic in July to allow the 30-year-old to sign a two-year deal for Daegu, according to News Corp.

However, after scarcely four months in the K-League Classsic, Franjic has announced he will be departing the club prematurely.

“I would like to say I have mutually terminated my contract with Daegu FC,” Franjic wrote.

“I would like to wish the players the best of luck for the rest of the season as you guys were very warm and welcoming.

“I am looking forward to to next chapter of my football career.”

Franjic made just two appearances in the K-League.
