Under pressure Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says he is more focused on his side’s current results, rather than the thoughts of the fans at this stage of the season.

The defending FA Cup champions were knocked out of this season’s edition of the competition after falling to Manchester United 2-0 on Tuesday morning AEDT.

During the second half of the match, Blues supporters chanted ‘f*ck Sarriball’ as their side fell to a third defeat from their past five matches.

Despite the negativity surrounding his tactics, Sarri refused to be drawn into the actions of his club’s supporters.

“I am worried about the results. Not about the fans,” he said.

“I can understand the situation and our fans because the result wasn’t good.

“We are out of the FA Cup, so I can understand them. But I am worried at the moment about our results.”

But he insisted an upturn in fortunes would soon have the supporters back on his side.

“It’s really very easy. If we are able to win three or four matches in a row, it will be very easy. It’s difficult to win five matches in a row.”

However, he then went onto claim that his players were still coming to terms with his tactics that he implemented at the beginning of the season.

“Not completely at the moment,” he said. “Because, especially in a situation like in the second half, we need to move the ball faster.

“Faster mentally. Faster materially. We need movement without the ball.

“Less individual actions, because when you have spaces, of course, you can go for an individual action, but when the situation is like in the second half you need to move the ball faster and have more movement, otherwise, you cannot score.”
